A wedding has to work for every guest, from grandma to the best friend. I shape the music so that the older relatives get their dances first, and then the dance floor moves on to modern, clubby music into the night.
How I shape the evening
Toastmaster and speeches
I have a good wireless microphone for the toastmaster or toastmadame that works well for walking around with. Tell me the order of speeches and programme in advance and we will plan the music around them.
The dance floor
During dinner the music is relaxed. Then I build up the evening with classics and dances for the older guests in the first hour, followed by pop, club and remixes. Guests can request songs, just enough of them to keep the floor going.
Sound for your guest count
Two speakers (2 × 1200 W) are enough for up to 80 people. With 150–400 guests, a big dance floor or an outdoor party I bring four speakers (4 × 1200 W).
